This seminar is pitched in between the introduction to syntax and the more advanced syntax (plus interfaces) courses. It looks at the development of principles-and-parameters theory through the lens of a number of central notions, incl. (extended) projection, predication, agreement, and the locality of syntactic filler-gap dependencies.
